I never thought I’d grow up to be an editor at a literary magazine, but it was thrilling to be on the launch team for Multiplicity Magazine. After a year—or maybe two—of work behind the scenes, we launched the first issue in April 2020. Yes, right smack in the middle of a pandemic, when our theme Borders/Boundaries/Belonging, took on unforeseen levels of meaning. (We considered postponing our launch, but instead decided to ask our writers to share a few words about their work in the wake of COVID-19.)
A publication of the Bay Path University MFA program, Multiplicity will publish online themed issues twice yearly featuring creative nonfiction (essays, flash, profiles) poetry and photography. The Multiplicity Blog will publish flash CNF (including short craft essays and book reviews) and twice weekly. Submissions for the next issue will open on May 1. Click for submissions guidelines.
